Data Analyst

Are you advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access? Do you also have the ability and willingness to learn new reporting and data analysis methods?

 

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for data consolidation, analysis, and report production for Warranty & Retail Operations management. You will need to produce clear visual reports, and will actively analyse data to identify trends. This role involves analysis of data collected from various sources, and classifying it from an operational, customer satisfaction and financial perspective. You will work closely with the Regions, Markets, Warranty Operations, Finance and other key teams up to senior management level.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Building reports within Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access.
  • Liaison with third party suppliers to obtain data for regular reports.
  • Creating executive summaries to accompany regular reports.
  • Providing trend analysis and concern identification as determined in conjunction with the team’s activity.
  • Investigating identified trends and previous data analysis.
  • Creation of high-quality written documents and visual interpretation of findings.
  • Liaise with third parties regarding reporting as and when required.
  • Networking and collaboration with other departments.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience of data analysis and report production.

  • Highly developed numeracy skills coupled with commercial awareness; a genuine willingness to develop analysis and modelling skills
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and excellent communication skills essential, ideally gained within a client facing environment.
  • Ability to analyse and interrogate data
  • Database querying skills (SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL)  
  • Computer literacy - Excel (Advanced) / Access (Intermediate) / PowerPoint
  • Excel formulas, interpreting data, working with internal and external stakeholders

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work closely with others as part of a team
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise activities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Automotive Industry (particularly after sales and / or parts) would be advantageous

 

Working Pattern and location:

  • 40 hours per week with the flexibility to be prepared to work additional hours as and when required per the needs of the business and the job role.
  • Whitley, Coventry
