What We Are Looking For:

An experienced Business Development Manager is responsible for creating and managing the marketing strategy and developing programs to maximize sales growth for our East Coast Automotive OEM Division. Qualified candidates will have one or more established relationships with BMW, Volkswagen, JLR, Daimler and/or Volvo and will lead MSXI’s sales efforts for all East Coast based automotive clients. The role focuses on identifying and managing sales opportunities of $1M+ and assisting in the development of a global account sales strategy and to represent MSXI at automotive industry events. Key Requirements of the Position Include:

  • Coordinate with the MSXI Global Account Executive to develop, execute, and maintain a global account strategy.  This includes but is not limited to:
    • Researching & validating the strategic direction of our large automotive accounts
      • Identifying Key Growth Areas, Product Launches, Customer Campaigns, Sales Strategies, & Service Strategies.
    • Developing & executing a 12-month growth plan to exceed sales targets including:
      • Developing a strategy to grow current initiatives within the account.
      • Defining key client initiatives and align our core solutions & offerings.
      • Developing a set of proactive proposals to deliver to our customers.
    • Developing & executing an executive relationship strategy which includes:
      • Identifying key executives within the organization to drive sales and service opportunities and proactively driving the executive relationship strategy.
      • Developing an action plan to create relationships with key executives.
  • Developing & managing a Sales Opportunity Pipeline for Global Accounts including:
    • Proactively managing a set of $1M+ multi-year engagements & sales opportunities
      • Targeting opportunities, developing presentations and proposals, & closing sales opportunities.
    • Coordinating with Regional SAE’s and Account Managers to respond to large sales opportunities and participating & leading monthly pipeline reviews.
    • Transitioning opportunities to the Account Management Team:
      • Briefing Account Team on opportunity parameters.
      • Assisting in launching the staffing effort & periodically participating in engagement reviews
  • Participating in External Automotive Industry Marketing Events:
    • Identify & invite clients to appropriate events and follow-up on sales opportunities.
      • Proactively participate as a speaker in external marketing events.
      • Promote MSXI solutions and our “Point of View” on the automotive industry trends, issues, and solutions.
      • Participate in MSXI Sales/Solutions meetings on both a global& local level.
  • Collaborating on sales initiatives, sharing best practices, & creating and developing client solutions.

Qualifications Required:

  • 7-10 years progressive experience in direct OEM Sales and Service
  • Established relationships with Automotive OEM’s on the East Coast including but not limited to: BMW, JLR, Volvo, Daimler and Volkswagen.
  • 7-10 years experience in deploying solutions across dealer networks including Sales Applications, Service Applications, Warranty Applications, Technical Applications, Training Applications   
  • 7-10 years experience as a Global Account Manager at a big consulting firm or software company preferred.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills coupled with the ability to develop proposals & presentations

Experience using the Microsoft Suite of collaboration products
