Title:  Conversion Homologation Specialist

The Role

We are now recruiting for the position of Conversion Homologation Specialist who is an operating professional with a great sense of legislation processes and governmental affairs related to approval acceptance of commercial vehicle conversions in the Netherlands.

 

Your main responsibilities will be

Support

  • First point of contact for local legislative stakeholders like the tax- and road authorities (RDW), Agents, RAI, converters
  • Ensuring business continuity from a Homologation point-of-view by ensuring entire product offer complying with legislation
  • Having knowledge on latest and future legislation and having a leading / executing role to adhere to them (like EURO VII, local requirements, luxury tax implementation as per January 1st, 2025)
  • Documentation of current processes, like 2nd stage type approval processes and fiscal conversions
  • Having a coordinating role in audits of converters and stock stored within their inventory
  • Setting-up and providing approvals for taxi and CBR statements
  • Calculating & determination of WLTP-values and/or CO2 re-calculations

 

Administration

  • Preform as homologation coordinator and handle all inquiries related to homologation together with team
  • Administration of all technical type approval related enquiries, like: handling all COC duplicate requests, supporting pre-registrations, taxi declarations, and reporting
  • Follow-up any modifications/changes and update the relating documents, processes and systems if required
  • Background knowledge of local legislation & regulation on homologation related topics
  • Understand the implication of changes in tax environment (vehicle tax [MRB], purchase tax [BPM]) to the customers vehicle portfolio and users

 

About you

  • Minimum MBO (NL) level, operating and communicating at HBO level / or equivalent by experience
  • Affinity in Automotive, technical background with conversion expertise
  • Knowledge of European and local legislation & regulation concerning homologation is highly recommended
  • Can communicate well at different levels and knows how explain situation in easy wording
  • Task responsible and able to work positively and effectively in a team
  • Handle stress in a good way
  • Good written and verbal language skills in Dutch and English
  • ‘Can-do’ mentality and being persistent while tackling (possible future) errors
  • Keeping an overview on progress on multiple projects at once and having the ability to escalate in a timely manner;
  • Knowing ‘who’s doing what’ out of a process perspective and connect people / organizations where needed.
