This luxury car brand are now recruiting for a Technical Engineer, to support in the implementation of the aftersales technical strategy across the UK network.



The Role

The Automotive Technical Engineer will:

  • provide technical information support for Genesis Operating Centre (GOC) and the Genesis Bodyshop programme
  • prepare Service Recalls and Campaigns information for the market, and monitor and deliver requested completion rates
  • deliver continuous improvement activities regarding product quality.
  • create and submit quality reports
  • provide technical field support as required, either planned or emergency
  • deliver full engagement with European colleagues to support the delivery of the best technical support service and drive quality improvements
  • translate, prepare and issue TSB information for the UK market
  • provide specialist technical support for hotline requests for local market


This role will be predominantly based in Upper Heyford but there will be occasional national and international travel.



About you

The Automotive Technical Engineer must be an automotive technical specialist, with significant experience working within a technical support function, and will: 

  • be trained and certification to Master Technician’ status or equivalent
  • be able to investigate, report on and diagnose complex vehicle systems, either “hands on” or remotely
  • have good working knowledge of aftersales systems and processes
  • have significant experience of offering support to agencies via different media i.e., online, telephone and face to face
  • understand the UK automotive industry and be passionate about car
  • thrive in a fast-paced environment and you can focus on multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time
  • be able to identify opportunities, and prepare and execute plans to achieve targets


Due to the nature of this role, applicants must hold a Clean driving license and able to support at multiple locations within the UK requiring some overnight travel.

Working Pattern & Location:

  • Travel: some field based activity
