ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. This National Service Garage Contract position for the Level 3 Technician is responsible for HMA/GMA Company Fleet Vehicle maintenance, diagnosing & repairing company fleet vehicles, employee lease vehicles, other department fleet vehicles, service department test vehicles in engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and other similar related systems.  Also, the Level 3 technician is responsible for repairs on EVs, HEVs and PHEVs, in addition to the diagnosing, repairing, and servicing of alternate fuel vehicles such as hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicles. Activities also include PDI’s, and Campaign Repairs & Recalls, general light shop duties. Ensure vehicle is adequately protected and in compliance with all safety procedures while it is being worked on.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Extensive automotive hands on and technical knowledge required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent experience

ASE Certification or state certification preferred but not required

Minimum of 6 years of experience as a technician in an automotive service environment

HEV, PHEV, and EV related experience a Plus but not required

Alternate Fuels (Ex. Hydrogen) repair experience a Plus but not required

Use equipment consistent with industry standards

First Aid/CPR Certified preferred but not required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have ability to maintain a professional level of oral and written communication in English.

COMPUTER SKILLS

High level of proficiency with the use of computer technical service tools and related software programs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXI, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $35.00 to $38.00 hourly based on current experience.
