Title:  Business Analyst

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for interacting with clients and technical teams gathering requirements and creating documentation. The Business Analyst will use their skills to ensure technical teams have the information they need to satisfy client requests with a high degree of accuracy in a timely manner. They will also manage client expectations to ensure clients are satisfied with the timing and results of development efforts.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review client documentation
  • Interview client stakeholders
  • Define system requirements
  • Document a clearly defined scope of work
  • Contribute to system-level architectural discussions, and reviews
  • Provide feedback of requirements, design and test documents
  • Works within the organization to develop, deploy, and drive industry standards
  • Consult with client and technical staff to resolve business/technical issues and needs
  • Identify and document detailed technical system requirements
  • Conduct impact analysis on change requests both technical and functional
  • Document business system software operation and troubleshooting procedures
  • Develop and communicate weekly detailed status reports for clients

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong MS Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Familiarity with ASP.net, C#, and MS SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Tableau
  • Excellent communication and writing skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycles(SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Technical writing ability
  • Familiarity with use case development, UML, and prototyping
  • Experience writing and reviewing architecture and design specification

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of professional systems/business analysis experience
  • Previous external client facing experience
  • Experience working as part of a software development team
  • Experience with ASP.net, C#, T-SQL, or Tableau
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Working knowledge of DevOps concepts
  • Experience with JIRA
