The Service Experience Product Owner is a digitally savvy person to effectively build a digital platform for customers and dealers to make vehicle service convenient, transparent, and seamless.  The Product Owner will ensure a superior digital experience and serve a critical role to bridge the gap between business users and agile development teams. This business leader works closely with the agile team to write user stories, manage the product backlog, perform release planning, and escalate issues as necessary. They must have an excellent understanding of the business needs that they represent, the technology on which they’re building and ensure a great end-user experience. 

 

Candidates must have strong communication and facilitation skills, with a proven record of leading complex projects with multiple business partners. Strong project management and Agile skills are required with a focus on Digital products and proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and exceeding adoption targets.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of the overall feature strategy and service experience, based upon competitive benchmarking, consumer trends, SWOT analysis, etc.
  • Collect and incorporate global customer feedback into platform capabilities and roadmap priority for retail and commercial businesses.
  • Collect and incorporate stakeholder input from strategy, marketing, technical, privacy, legal, finance and accounting teams to ensure the proper capabilities and priorities are reflected on the roadmap.
  • Work closely with your Customer Experience and Operations matched pair to develop and prioritize business requirements across software platforms and applications needed to deliver dealer value across the value chain.
  • Work closely with your Customer Experience and Operations matched pair to develop specific processes that support the digital experience.
  • Work with product designers to create and validate User Interface designs and wireframes.
  • Work with product managers to translate dealer needs into a backlog of user stories for software engineers and accept these user stories as they are completed.
  • Act as the voice of the dealer with all product analysts, product managers, senior leadership and development teams.
  • Communicate the vision to all stakeholders.


The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in user experience design
  • 3+ years’ experience in agile development
  • 5+ years of experience in customer experience design, product development and/or Software Development
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to adapt communication style based on the audience.

 

Our preferred requirements:

  • Project management skills such as Rally or Jira
  • Experience with Automotive Customer Service, Dealerships, or Commercial/Fleet Operations
