We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to join our team in a highly dynamic role!  You will support a major and growing automotive manufacturer by assuming project management responsibilities for a variety of strategic initiatives, including working with the client’s Facilities Team, Business Stakeholders and Construction Vendors related to identification of new facilities, branding, design and ultimately build out.  The ideal candidate has extensive experience with construction, brand and design project management, and demonstrates proficiency at communication with internal management, team members, and customers.  Experience in automotive is a significant plus!

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

Project Management:

  • Manage numerous client stakeholders with differing roles, in the pursuit of standing up state of the art new training center facilities.
  • Own project development and delivery, including customer satisfaction with quality and timing.
  • Capture, document and obtain sign-off on facility requirements.
  • Develop timelines to manage day to day operations, presenting updates during Executive-level presentations.
  • Maintain regular communications (written and verbal) with business partners, manager, team.
  • Offer strategic solutions to obstacles, and guide challenges to resolution.
  • Multi-task within a fast-paced environment, while documenting project details using project management tools.

 

Process Mapping and Reporting

  • Identify gaps in processes and create solid foundational documented process in collaboration with business partners.  
  • Collaborate with assigned project team and business stakeholders to ensure objectives are successfully achieved.
  • Coordinate steps to change management with support from business partners.
  • Monitor and report on program progress (daily, weekly, monthly) as required.
  • Conduct data analysis, integrating raw data into charts and slides for performance measurement. 
  • Build presentations and communications documents using MS PowerPoint and MS Word. 

 

Communication and Customer Management

  • Identify key stakeholders, create contact list, RACI, and establish rapport with stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely follow-up and completion of tasks.
  • Lead cross departmental meetings related to scope and project details.
  • Manage customer communications, including status on project timelines.
  • Respond quickly to requests with thorough yet concise documentation.
  • Escalate visibility to issues, and present creative solutions.
  • Attend onsite meetings when required.    

 

Required Experience and Skills 

  • 5+ years managing complex projects, including monitoring scope and communications.
  • Exceptional Project Management skills with the use of PM software (Trello, Smartsheet, Teams, MS Project, or any other Kanban platform).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines and frequent change. 
  • Strong organizational skills and success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional scheduling and planning skills specific to collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Personal emphasis on attention to detail. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong work ethic with enthusiastic, “can do” attitude and a fierce sense of ownership. 
  • Independent self-starter.
  • Experience using MS Office tools (i.e., Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint)
