Title:  Trade Parts Area Sales Manager - Ireland

Are you an accomplished motor parts sales representative within an OEM or Motor Factor environment?


As a Trade Parts Area Sales Manager with MSX International, you will have the opportunity to be part of a successful team delivering consistent parts growth on behalf of our client, a premium vehicle brand with significant market share and presence in the UK & Ireland.


Ideally, you will be a self-starter with experience developing long-term commercial relationships. You should be familiar with the franchised retailer organization structure and understand the key players in the independent aftermarket within your defined territory.


You will have the ability to collaborate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders positioning yourself as a credible expert in the B2B arena.


This is a field-based role covering Northern Ireland; therefore, the ideal candidate will be based in a location allowing for convenient coverage of the entire region.


More about the role:

Day to day you will be responsible for you own territory, you will strategically plan your visits to the Retailers to ensure optimum results and gain parts market share. The aim for each meeting is to coach and develop the Trade Part Dealers into identifying business opportunities with current, lapsed and new accounts.  Other duties include:

  • Create strong and succinct business plan and progress reports for our client.
  • Create and implement bespoke sales and marketing plans for Trade Parts Dealers.
  • Coordinate with retailers to roll out sales promotions.
  • Increase OEM parts sales for potentially new and existing Trade Parts Dealers.
  • Instil best practice, and a class leading sales process.
  • Gather and feedback market analysis and competitor intelligence.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets and profitability.
  • Creative approach to discovering new sales channels.
  • Performing all aspects of the role to the standards set out within yearly objectives and KPI/SLA agreements between BMW UK and MSXI.


Candidate Specifications:

  • Have a strong sales mentality and gain buy in from Trade Parts Dealerships at all levels.
  • Sound understanding and demonstrable record of leading and developing sales with multiple OEM parts distributors.
  • Sales management experience within large automotive parts wholesaler, or successful OEM Dealer with unrivalled overall parts sales knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of being able to work on own initiative and motivation.
  • Strong business acumen and customer focus.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proven track record in sales and target achievement
  • Proficient in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Ability to travel within allocated geographical area.

Working Pattern and Location:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Some travel within an assigned geographical territory
  • The role will be covering Northern Ireland

  • Salary up to £35,000 per annum, plus £5K OTE
