Title:  Warranty Parts Return Center Manager

SUMMARY

Responsible for the operation and performance of a major OEM’s warranty parts return center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Ability to manage a team of parts inspector and shippers for a major automotive manufacturer in the Fountain Valley area
• Create and maintain inspection processes and standards
• Measure team performance
• Coach and counsel team to optimize efficiency and accuracy of work
• Continually improve performance through the application of LEAN processes
• Maintain high levels of safety and cleanliness that meet or exceed OSHA regulations
• Implement strict organizational processes for shipping, receiving, and part inspection
• Excellent communication skills to ensure high levels of visibility of performance and data
• Create and continuously improve reporting suite
• Conduct end to end impact analysis of business, process, and system changes relative to operational and customer experience impacts, and compliance with vehicle environmental laws and government regulations
• Serve as liaison between the Supplier, HMA and third parties for all resources required for information and vendor communications
• Establish best practices and provide reference materials/resources to other HMA parts return centers
• Integrate parts return operations with other warranty, technical and quality groups
• Knowledge and ability to analyze information from relational databases including AS/400 SQL
• Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5 years’ experience managing a warranty parts return center or parts distribution warehouse
• 2 years’ experience in an automotive technical related field is preferred
• 2 years’ professional experience with Microsoft Excel, QMF, AS/400, SQL is preferred
• Excellent oral and written skills
• High degree of mathematical analysis including the use of relational databases (inc. AS/400 SQL)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This is an office based position based in a warehouse environment
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
