The primary role of the Business Development Team Lead is to develop business growth.    

This role will work in conjunction with Program Coordinators to identify and develop business growth opportunities and strategies.  This role will be responsible to manage promotional programs to include but not limited to marketing design, promotional program setup, and metric reporting. 


Job Responsibilities 

  • Become SME on functional aspects of the program, including reporting and system processes 

  • Qualify leads from promotional campaigns as sales opportunities 

  • Contact commercial accounts through phone calls and emails 

  • Present the program features and benefits to potential commercial accounts 

  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services 

  • Identify and document product solutions to increase customer satisfaction 

  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients 

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities  

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) Commercial Accounts and / or Account Executives 

  • Nurture and develop relationships with key commercial accounts 

  • Attend face-to-face meetings with clients (as needed) 

  • Provide specialist advice on the products and/or services provided through the Program 

  • Facilitate promotional programs for growth opportunities 

  • Monitor and provide metrics of promotional programs benefits  

  • Monitor team members and provide necessary advice and guidance 

Skills and Experience Required 

  • Sales track record 

  • Articulate, polished and professional with strong verbal and written skills 

  • A self-motivated and disciplined approach  

  • Familiar with reporting and metrics  

  • Prior experience with leading teams to a successful outcome 


Required Education 

  • Degree preferred 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
