Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Administer Cloud infrastructure while aligning security, compliance, performance, resiliency and RBAC best practises
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure including Azure Networking, Virtual Machines, Azure storage, Azure backup and Azure site recovery
  • Support and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy the latest technologies to deliver the products to global customers
  • Support security and compliance needs, working with the internal InfoSec team
  • Design and implement an Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solution
  • Deploy product updates, identify production issues, support integrations that meet customer needs
  • Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery protocols for cloud-based systems
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure, performance and security
  • Work with different teams to design and implement Azure solutions that fit the business needs
  • Take an active and proactive role in monitoring the Azure estate and reacting to any issues
  • Ensure that all Cloud Infrastructure is built to best practice standards
  • Support application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
  • Work with all areas of the business to deliver secure Cloud resources inline with best practises
  • Administer cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines, including patching (Azure Arc)
  • Implement and manage monitoring, alerting and backup
  • Keep up to date with Azure services, best practices and be proactive in terms of researching new technology
  • Document fully all solutions to a high standard and proactively work with the Infrastructure Cloud team to share knowledge and drive the team forward
  • Raise change control’s via ITSM system and attend weekly CAB meetings Understanding of ITIL processes

 

Education/Qualifications         

  • Qualification – AZ-104 - Microsoft Azure Administrator

      Be able to lead on a project interacting with stakeholders from all areas of the business

      Be able to challenge members of the business to follow the agreed security and setup best practices

      Excellent problems solving and collaboration skills

 

  • Minimum of 1-2 years working with Azure technologies and managing an Azure estate
  • Experience with cloud: Azure or AWS
  • Experience implementing and interacting with APIs.
  • Implementing and working with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/ARM templates
  • Have a basic understanding of network principles, such as subnets and IP ranges, route tables, etc.
  • Experience with Linux / Linux shell & Windows
  • Strong scripting skills
  • Experience of Active Directory​​​​​​​
