Title:  Warranty Assessor

Lotus Cars Europe’s Back Office Warranty Claim Assessors Team will deliver the expected value for money performance and the expected service quality. The ambition is to deliver a high quality service to the Lotus Client. The European Back Office Warranty Claim Assessors Team will be in charge of assessing and validating the warranty claims submitted by the Lotus After-Sales network for repairs completed on vehicles covered by Lotus warranty (Basic Warranty, Paint Warranty, Corrosion Warranty, HV Components Warranty, Service Campaign, Recall Campaign).

The Warranty Team will provide to the authorized repairers pre-approvals authorization for a list of parts or interventions before the work on the vehicle is performed in order to control the warranty expenses and assure a good quality of the repair for the final customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process warranty claims on a timely basis from a technical and administrative point of view
• Explain in writing on the warranty claim the reason for return/correction/rejection
• Prepare, review and update warranty bulletins
• Raise debit note/invoice to workshops in case of excessive/unjustified payments
• Support the LCE training department on training of the staff in charge of (warranty) claiming in the workshop network
• Providing a Prior Authorization on Warranty Repair for a specific list of repairs
• Alert the warranty manager on recurring incidents
• Alert the warranty manager on the recurring claiming issues of the dealers
• Support the dealers in the claiming process (channel to be confirmed)
• Prepare activity reports

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent specializing in vehicle technology, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering with a focus on drives or master craftsman/workshop manager/master technician
• Expert in managing the relationship with workshop technicians as well as workshop managers
• Expert in Warranty Management, familiar with local consumer laws and customers rights
• Previous experience in a similar job for an OEM
• Expert in ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles and all its components
• Expert in BEH (Battery Electric Vehicle) vehicles and all its components
• Advanced knowledge diagnosis tools and report
• Excellent knowledge of electrical diagrams
• Automotive experience with technical background (3-5 years)

Required languages:

• fluency in English (min. C1 level)

The location of this position is Amsterdam. A relocation option is granted for EU citizens.
